WHAT I PACK WHEN I DISAPPEAR

This is a breakdown of what I typically carry when I venture out on my own.

When the noise gets too loud and the pressure hits that point where even my bones feel it—I grab my pack and go.

It’s not about running. It’s about re-calibrating.
Getting back to what matters: breath, fire, grit, and survival.
Over the years, I’ve refined what goes in my bag when it’s time to disappear. Not for a weekend getaway—for a reconnection.

Here’s what I carry when I disappear into the quiet:

🔪 1. Blade First. Always.

A solid fixed blade goes on my belt before anything else. It's my firestarter, my kitchen tool, my protection, and sometimes, my therapy.
Get one that feels like an extension of your hand—don’t go cheap here. I HIGHLY Recommend the Morakniv Knife.

🛖 2. Shelter That Works in the Dark

When your hands are cold and the sun’s gone, you don’t want fancy.
You want fast. I pack a tarp and cordage I trust. Lightweight, low-vis, and silent when the wind kicks up. If you can, get yourself a Nylon Tarp, it packs lighter than a standard 10x12 tarp.

🔥 3. Fire Kit

Ferro rod. Lighter. Charcloth.
All these fit inside an Altoid tin. The tin itself can be used to make more Charcloth.
No room for ego—redundancy is survival.
I don’t romanticize fire. I respect it.
It’s heat. It’s morale. It’s a line between order and chaos.

🥣 4. Food That Keeps Me Sharp

When I’m out for more than a night, I roll with calories that don’t quit.
Nothing fancy—just fuel.

🔗 My go-to: Emergency Survival Food from My Patriot Supply
25-year shelf life, tastes better than MREs, and doesn't weigh down my pack.

📘 5. Mind & Muscle Maintenance

Sometimes, I bring a book. Not a novel. A manual. Something that sharpens the mind while the body rests.

A few I recommend you rotate through:
📖 Spec Ops Bushcrafting – Raw, direct, and practical. No fluff.
📖 Foraging Secrets – Helps me identify what’s around me when I want to go full primitive.

🎒 6. Mental Loadout

Before I step off, I check my headspace. Out here, you don’t need every answer—but you do need presence. Pack humility. Pack patience. Leave the BS behind.

Closing Firelight:

What I carry isn’t just gear—it’s intention.
Every item earns its spot. Every ounce has meaning.

Its not me prepping for a zombie apocalypse.
It’s prep for when life hits hard and I need to breathe different.
Want your own go-pack? Start with the basics above and build out what fits your terrain.

Always Remember - When you disappear, don’t do it to escape.
Do it to return stronger.
